Junior Golf Programs and Instruction Framework

A Junior Golf Program is an important program for the golf club as well as the students involved. Historically, with few exceptions, Junior Golf Programs are somewhat “cookie-cutter’ type lessons with little follow-up and follow-through as the student improves or wants to become a proficient golfer even if it’s all the way to the PGA Tour. There are several elements that need to be served in Junior Programs.

  1. A sense of involvement with the parents and children in the community and the city at large
  2. The ability to provide quality instruction, and expertise, to the junior golfer who develops aspirations to be better and play at a competitive level in various local, county, state and national junior golf tournaments.
  3. The accomplished player Junior High, High School and the College golfer who has a desire and a commitment to becoming the best they can be
  4. The accomplished golfer who shows a desire and commitment through a positive work ethic, is trainable and wants to move to the next level in golf as well as fitness, mental training and in life.
